Apprenticeships go from Strength to Strength

Lowestoft College has found apprenticeships continue to thrive and are well supported by local employers. The College offers a range of apprenticeships including retail, hairdressing and administration, in addition to a selection of construction and engineering focused options including motor vehicle, plumbing and welding.

The College has recently added a boat construction, maintenance and support apprenticeship which draws on its already established course and Lowestoft’s close proximity to the Norfolk Broads. Lowestoft College regularly sees the impact Apprentices make.

Training Services Liaison Officer Stan Read said: “Our former apprentices are proving to be valuable members of the workforce and have a lot to offer. One electrical engineering apprentice has successfully completed an Apprenticeship and Advanced Apprenticeship and is now developing her knowledge further with a Foundation degree in Operations and Maintenance – all with the backing of her employer.”
